Hi, my name’s NBH. I’m the director of education and research at NBH Lifetime Health. Our business is primarily natural hormones and weight loss. I started this business about 12 years ago, in 1999 to be exact. Why did I get interested in this type of business, particularly natural hormones?

The main reason I did is because my mom got Alzheimer’s sometime ago. We went out to Oregon which was where she was living at the time and brought her out here to Texas to live with us. If you’ve never had the experience with an Alzheimer person, it’s fairly devastating and a very tough situation. She’d been healthy all her life.

When I took her to the various providers to have her treated or take care of her, I always a little bit wondered about why they didn’t seem to really know what they were doing in this area; or more importantly, they just seem to not be able to do too much. So, I decided I would start researching all about the health business, about things that were available to us.

What I discovered is that there was an amazing amount of knowledge out there to make us totally healthy. It was not necessarily in the hand of conventional medicine who tends to look at symptoms and have to treat diseases. What I was looking at and more interested in is how do we prevent these things?

Well, one of the things I’ve discovered during that time was natural hormone therapy. I’ve been on hormones now for 12 years. I take growth hormone, testosterone, thyroid, DHEA, and is this the only answer? No, it’s not the only answer. You still have to exercise properly, consistently. You have to eat very well but when you have the hormones, they make everything else work fine again.

What we hear over and over again in our clinic is, “I’m eating good. I’m exercising. How come I can’t lose weight? Or why is it so difficult to lose weight? Or why do I feel so bad?” Well, what we discovered over the years is that if you raise your level of hormones to a healthy youthful level and you have a balance, and of course, you eat right and exercise. You can have a great life!
