March Is National Nutrition Month
Every March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics observes National Nutrition Month to encourage the public to focus on their eating habits. The Academy even outlines goals for each week of the month so that the public can follow along and plan a healthy diet, with each week getting progressively more demanding.
Week One – focuses on eating a variety of healthy foods and hydrating each day, while also learning portion control and taking the time to savor your meal.
Week Two – challenges you to think ahead about the food you’ll eat during the week. This means thoughtfully writing out a shopping list, taking care to only purchase healthy foods, cooking nutritious recipes to eat at school or work, and making careful decisions when eating out.
Week Three – is all about trying out new recipes with fun flavors and fresh, healthy ingredients. By the third week, you should also be thinking about how to reduce food waste by cooking appropriate portions and inviting friends and family over to try your new recipe.
Week Four – the Academy encourages participants to start thinking about making an appointment with a local registered dietician nutritionist. You can ask your provider for a good recommendation and meet with the nutritionist to talk about what diets and health habits would be best for your lifestyle.
Because March is National Nutrition Month, Natural Bio Health wants to teach you the various ways you can nourish your body by choosing the best diet for your body type and genetic makeup. If you think you might have trouble with any of the goals outlined in the National Nutrition Month guidelines, our specialists can help!
We have also developed a custom plan based on genetic testing that combines intermittent fasting, a specialized diet, and weekly visits with your [firm name] coach to review your progress. Because it is based on each patient’s genetics, the plan will be custom-tailored to their needs, family history, and body type.
The theme for National Nutrition Month this year is “Eat Right, Bite By Bite,” and the team at [firm name] can help you do just that by determining what diet will help you achieve your weight loss goals. The thought of devoting an entire month to diet and nutrition might sound overwhelming, but the team at Natural Bio Health is here to assist you. By participating in our genetic testing, you can discover genetic mutations that might affect how you plan your diet and exercise habits. There is no way to work around your DNA, but there are ways to work with it.
Our genetic testing is unique because it only takes about 10 minutes to complete, and we give you the option to complete it in your own home. Once the test results are back, a [firm name] specialist will sit down with you to go over what exactly the results mean for your health plan.
Your genetic makeup will reveal whether you have predispositions to certain abnormalities or health risks, such as:
- Stress
- Toxic exposure
- ADHD, ADD, Autism, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia
- Poor sleep, brain fog, fatigue or low energy
- Poor eating habits
- Digestive issues, IBS, Leaky Gut
- Memory loss, poor focus, and concentration
- Hashimoto’s disease and other auto-immune conditions
- Fibromyalgia, chronic pain
- Cancer, diabetes
- Excess body fat, obesity, difficulty losing weight
- Heart disease, strokes
- Depression, Anxiety, PMS
- PTSD, TBI (traumatic brain injury), Bipolar Disorders
- Poor hormonal function, low testosterone, poor estrogen metabolism
Genetic testing is extremely useful in identifying what underlying conditions you have (that you might not even be aware of) and what ailments or anomalies could develop later in life. Getting a peek into your own genetics gives you a leg up when drawing the roadmap for your healthy lifestyle. There is no better way to predict and prevent future health issues than by taking a look at your own genetic mutations.
